Taylor Swift's full name Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift was born on the 13th, 1989 in West Reading, Pennsylvania U.S.A. Taylor Swift became an incredibly popular artist and singer in the beginning of 2001 when she began sharing her stories of pain and heartbreak. Swift discovered a love for music from a young age and she progressed quickly through roles in the children's theater and her first public appearance in front of the crowd of a thousand. Swift began writing music when she was 11. She sang The Star-Spangled Banner for a Philadelphia 76ers game. Swift had taken her influences from the music of Shania Twain and her band the Dixie Chicks now known as The Chicks in the world of country music, composed the songs of her own to convey her experience with alienation. Swift's family relocated to Tennessee from Pennsylvania when she was 13so she would have more time pursuing country music labels in Nashville.
